Melancholy gives birth to many things, and one of them - good writing. Or sometimes (In my case), excessive writing.
I mean, those sad love songs that heals all wounds, they don't come from no where.
They came from a certain experience, a certain spur moment emotion. They are translated into music from pain, from depression, from angst.
My definition of good songs at least, they originate from some form of melancholy.
Music aside, I write so much better with the help of a bout of depression.
I complete my writing much faster when I'm feeling down.
Writing becomes an antidote.
